On Saturday, April 25, the Springfield College Powerlifting Club will host its 1st Annual "Last Man/Woman Standing" Open Powerlifting Meet.
Participation is open to all Springfield College affiliates, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and family.
The two contested lifts will be the Benchpress and the Deadlift. Each lift will begin with the weight of the bar. The weight will climb continuously until the last competitor for each weightclass performs a successful repetition. Last lifter in each class "standing" is declared winner.
Admission is $5, with proceeds going to support the MA/NH branch of the Alzheimer's Association.
