ASSISTANT STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH - SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY

This full-time, 12 month, assistant strength and conditioning coach will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning with training for twenty-one NCAA Division I intercollegiate sports.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting the Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning with development, administration, implementation, scheduling and supervision of facilities and programs for assigned varsity sports.  Earned Bachelor’s degree ; minimum of one year collegiate strength and conditioning experience; strength and conditioning coach certified (SCCC) by the Collegiate, Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association OR Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association; CPR certified; ability to work productively with coaches, staff and student-athletes; experience supervising and directing student-athletes and other personnel; experience working with female and male student-athletes; and ability to work independently.  For a complete listing of required and preferred qualifications refer to the employment website.  Deadline:  Until filled; applications will begin to be reviewed January 30, 2012.  To apply, visit the online employment site at is https://yourfuture.sdbor.edu/applicants/Central?quickFind=55818, view the job announcement, and click on “apply for this posting”.  The system will guide you through the electronic application form.  The employment site will also require the attachment of a cover letter, resume and reference page.  Please contact SDSU Human Resources at 605/688-4128 for assistance or additional information.  For position information contact Brock Thompson, Search Chair, at 605-688-5522 or email brock.thompson@sdstate.edu.
